Had the pleasure of the company of good old friends
from the Bay Area for the last week!
What a joy to wake up in the morning and start
up where we left off the night before.
Finishing each others sentences and
and responding with deep and caring understanding.
The other part of having houseguests from the states
is I get to see my pueblo, and Mexico,
through THEIR eyes.
And good friends. . .will tell you like it is!

On the brighter side, I have hired a cover designer
to add the professional touch to my Kindle book covers,
my second book is being reformatted for upload,
and the third is in its final rewrite.
Soon all 3 will be available on Kindle
and I will be able to start my fourth book.
I'll keep you posted on the good stuff,
not so much on the bad.
I have had the same debate with myself, and I have decided to blog on good and bad. Otherwise, I am not presenting a very realistic picture of Mexico. I like Melaque. But it has some warts the size of Texas.
ReplyDeleteGood news about the book. Violence too is transforming Central America into a very ugly place. It's hard to write when one hears daily of murders, kidnappings and the like. I long for a visit to a safer place for a bit. I just want to walk a bit at night. Can't do that in this part of Honduras.
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I'm sorry to hear that Laurie. It's the same in my village. The thing is, I do not believe it is going to get better, following the trend from the northern MX areas, they only get worse.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of Oaxaca State and Chiapas State for the long run.
How about Costa Rica? Is it safer?
Hi Steve - It's tough isn't it, I don't want to write about it but it weighs heavily on my mind and it is hard to write around it sometimes.
