What can I say.
We tend to do things the old-fashioned way
in Jocotepec.
The best part is the man who walks
ahead of the truck, by a few blocks,
ringing a bell to announce the pending arrival of the basura truck.
A humorous look at ramblin' and rovin' south of the border. If you're interested in the perspective of a boots-on-the-ground, non-gringolandia-living-expat in Mexico. . .join me. I will continually ask the question. . .is there life after EMS?
I found the trash service rather odd when I first moved here. But now I love knowing that no matter what yuck I put in my trash that it will be taken out the next day. It runs every day except Wed and Sun as compared to once a week in the states. And its free!!!! Also most of our trucks in town have an extra trailer that tags behind for recycled stuff. My daughter loves to announce that the trash truck will be coming when she hears the cow bell.
