While the rains in the early afternoon kept me from climbing volcanoes and swimming in the lake, there was a trade off that couldn't have been better. I had an opportunity to meet really fun and interesting local people.
After running around all day yesterday running errands with Kira and visiting with her friends, last night she and I and her son Denis went out for dinner. When we were finished, and Denis said he couldn't eat all his meal, Kira sent him out to the street to get a couple of hungry kids. We fixed up a plate and ordered a few extras.
Denis returned with these two charmers. We sat them down and told them to dig in.
