ROAD TRIP - Teuchitlan 2006

A couple of hours west of Guadalajara, in sugar cane country, is a very interesting town called Teuchitlan. Here there are great restaurants, a wonderful pueblo with a museo of artifacts excavated from the ruins farther up the hill, and fabulous ruins to explore. The excavation of these ruins is recent and the digs continue. They have no idea who inhabited or built these ruins.

There is a balneario on the way to the ruins, we found these horses frolicking in it the day we were there.

My favorite restaurant there is Sokey's, fine food, good service, and it is perched on the edge of the lake.

Another great day in Mexico!

Teuchitlan milk man and his companions returning from his morning rounds.
